If you live in the Yarra Ranges or surrounding areas of Melbourne you may be interested in attending one of Anglicare Victoria’s upcoming foster care information sessions.

29th April 2009, beginning at 7:30 pm

  2. Would this information session be useful for someone just beginning to look into becoming a foster carer?

    • Certainly! The information session covers basic information about the agency, a background to foster care, the different types of care (respite, short-term, long-term) and also the different programs (Eastern Disability, General Foster Care, Adolescent Community Placement). There will also be caseworkers representing the different programs and current carers who will speak. The second half of the session is purely devoted to answering questions that may arise specific to your home and family.

      I’d strongly encourage anyone who has ever thought about foster care and who lives in the area to come along. If you don’t live in the Yarra Ranges or surrounding regions call 1800 013 088 to be linked with your local agency.
